Belper Parks wins a Green Flag Award 2008.
Thanks to the good work carried out by the Friends of Belper Parks, the Parks just scraped through to receive a Green Flag Award this year. Of special mention in the judges comments were the wildflower meadow which was the vision of our ex-Chairman and many of his neighbours on Parkside, our  focus on improving habitats, this web site and leaflets about the Parks designed by the Friends, a very strong Friends Group commitment to the site, with a well developed & varied events programme .
